About my father

My father was a Fire Officer (TNFS). He was the man for the fire station. He got a gold medal from the Chief Minister (Tamizhaga Mudhalvar Sirappu Padakkam) for the best performance among the 13 members (both for Fire Service and Police).

The great historical place Poompuhar

My village is located at the great historical place, 'Poompuhar'. Poompuhar was the Port of Cholas. Another reasonable name for Poompuhar is Kaveripoompattinam, i.e. Kaveri Puhum Pattinam. The final destination of Cauvery is at Poompuhar where Kovalan and Kannagi lived. One of the Aimberum Kappiam Silapathikaram was written by Ilangovadigal depicting the real story of Kovalan, Kannagi and Madhavi.
